This study explores how C-band Sentinel-1 SAR backscatter change detection can support rapid, automated, and large-area damage assessment after major earthquakes. Using the 6 February 2023 Mw 7.8 Türkiye earthquake as a case study, they analyzed heavily impacted areas (Hatay and Kahramanmaraş) and validated results with extensive field data.
